Broker Spotlight – Lisa Christensen
As part of a series of conversations with the Moravia brokerage team, Charter Broker Lisa Christensen reflects on the learnings from her career to date.
Born in France, Lisa moved to Singapore at the start of her career where she spent eight years working as the Protocol Officer for the French Embassy. During this time, she garnered strong communication and relationship-building skills working with a variety of different people.
Following a stint in London in the finance sector, Lisa moved to Monaco where she was naturally drawn to the yachting industry and joined Moravia Yachting in 2017. Almost immediately she was assisting with the organisation of high-value charters and has since grown within the company. “I had the opportunity to learn from great mentors and really get to know the business,” Lisa explains.
As well as being committed and hardworking, Lisa prides herself on being transparent and direct. Many of her clients are families and she enjoys organising family-focused experiences for them. “I love what I do, and I love to see my clients happy on board – it’s very rewarding,” she adds.

A key piece of advice Lisa gives all her clients is that a yacht charter is about so much more than just the yacht. For Lisa, picking the yacht is the easy part, but choosing the right crew is going to make or break the trip – focusing on the human factor is her main priority.
Lisa also has extensive experience representing high-profile sportspersons, which necessitates a particular approach. “Respect of privacy is paramount to these long-term relationships, and I am very happy every time a client returns to me to find them the perfect yacht for their holiday,” she says. “Clients know that they can rely on my full commitment to find them the right yacht while being very discreet, acting as their trusted yachting partner.”

While Lisa organises bespoke and exclusive charter itineraries all around the world, there is one place that she would personally be eager to visit by yacht. “Antarctica is my dream destination, for the adventure, fun and excitement,” she concludes. “That’s what I would recommend to adventurous guests, because chartering in the Mediterranean and Caribbean is amazing, but you would have a totally different experience in Antarctica.”
