27.40m ARKSEN 85 – New Central Agency for sale

By Moravia Yachting

Moravia Yachting is delighted to announce that Arksen have appointed the company as Central Agent for the sale of the next Arksen 85

Building on the success of Arksen’s first two 85 models, Moravia Yachting proudly presents the third hull in this exciting series for sale.

Available in 18 months from signature, this is an exceptional opportunity to become part of Arksen’s progressive approach to yacht construction and their exploration philosophy. Each Arksen vessel is designed and built to allow owners to explore the globe, with the confidence, comfort, independence and efficiency expected of a serious, modern, long-range cruising yacht.

Built at the Ocea owned Wight Shipyard in the UK on behalf of Arksen and featuring both exterior design and naval architecture by Humphreys Yacht Design, this rugged 27.4m all-aluminium motor yacht is an ambitious explorer built for true expeditionary travel.

The Arksen 85’s long-range capabilities afford unrestricted global navigation, and high quality ‘commercial grade’ components allow enhanced reliability and greater redundancy. Able to operate safely in extreme environments, but equally capable when cruising in more accessible waters, the Arksen 85 has a unique versatility with enormous appeal. Whether on ocean passage, exploring remote coastlines or relaxing self-sufficiently in anchorages, owners can rest assured that their vessel is designed to allow them to focus purely on the enjoyment of that experience.

“The yachting world is far larger than the Mediterranean, and it’s a pleasure to work with Arksen who are enabling aspiring owners to go further afield. Having spent significant time with both the designers and the shipyard, it’s clear that the Arksen 85 model is optimised for performance and reliability, and delivers the absolute highest standards from a technical point of view.” – Sam Tucker, Broker at Moravia Yachting

“At Arksen, we craft exceptional yachts for the most adventurous sailors. More than vessels, they are a statement of intent to explore, to push boundaries, and to inspire curiosity about the world around us. Crafted in partnership with our clients, our aim is not only to build the ultimate explorer yachts but to provide our clients with access to a new world of adventure and a community driven by passion. We are hugely excited to work with Moravia due to their client-centric approach, global presence and enthusiasm to support Arksen’s mission. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together.” – Jasper Smith, Arksen.

All aspects of the yacht and its operation have been given meticulous eco consideration, and those seeking a more eco-friendly and environmentally conscious yachting option will appreciate the Tesumo decks, solar power banks, thermal recovery systems, highly efficient hull form, and hybrid propulsion option. Arksen’s approach of adhering to the principles of a circular economy are seen as not only the most effective way to build modern vessels, but also to ensure they hold value as regulations change.

The interior schemes have been conceived by award-winning superyacht design firm, Design Unlimited. Aligning with the Arksen brand’s core values, functionality and sustainability were central to the design brief. Interior spaces have been designed to be re-configurable and modular and materials have been selected to enhance the onboard experience and minimise damage to the environment wherever possible. Interesting features include galley worktops made from recycled plastics, upholstery that utilises waste fibres from the fashion industry or recovered ocean plastics, and innovative deck/flooring surfaces.

The design of the interior can be customised to the client’s requirements, with huge scope of choice for materials, finishes, colour schemes, fixtures and fittings.

The interior layout comprises a lobby, day head and open plan lounge/galley on the main deck with direct deck access, and stairs leading to the bridge. A second saloon lounge is located on the bridge deck and is equipped with a chart table/study area.

The cabin arrangement can be configured as eight guests in four or six in three. All located on the lower deck, the full-beam master suite and cabins can be fixed or convertible between twin and double berth, and additional bunks are also an option.

Deck spaces include an al fresco dining setup to aft with adjacent BBQ grill, an aft deck lounge, and bench seating forward of the bridge.

The exterior of the vessel can be in bare aluminium or faired and painted, with accessories such as cranes and stabilisation booms.

The Arksen 85 can be owner operated or run with minimal crew (quarters for two or four as required) and the platform has been enhanced to permit the stowage of a larger tender (up to 5.5m) as well as a larger and reinforced aft deck with a payload of 4,000kg – able to accommodate a vehicle or a submersible. There’s further stowage space for bikes, water toys and diving compressor and equipment in the aft lazarette, and removable davits allow for easy deployment and recovery.

About Arksen:
Arksen was created to push the boundaries of adventure, delivering new opportunities for the next generation of explorers while simultaneously supporting ocean conservation, through its charitable arm 10% for the Ocean.
Inspired by the stories of great ocean explorers from the past – Nansen, Cousteau, Heyerdahl and Bill Tillman – Arksen design for the curious, engineer for the extremes and build with a complete lack of compromise. Because it is in our most freewheeling, untethered and challenging moments that we feel most alive.

The company has recently co-produced a major feature documentary called Ocean with David Attenborough, which is due to launch globally in 2025. Produced in partnership with Silverback Films, a world-leading producer of natural history films for both television and cinema, this powerful documentary takes viewers on a breathtaking journey showing there is nowhere more vital for our survival, more full of life, wonder, or surprise, than the ocean. Projects like this define what Arksen is trying to achieve – by setting a new standard for the industry.
