Alastair Callender

As founder of Callender Designs in 2008, Alastair’s company went on to become an award-winning superyacht design studio.

Recipient of the prestigious award for “Excellence in Innovation” by the International Superyacht Society in 2010, Alastair offers a unique perspective and expertise on the global superyacht fleet, having been involved in the charter, sale, marketing or design of over 100 yachts.

Alastair launched Moravia Yachting into the Americas region.  During his career to date he has orchestrated the bespoke sales campaigns of over 40 superyachts up to 300ft (92m) in length that has amounted in over USD 800 million in total sales. As charter broker, he has negotiated numerous significant deals that includes booking superyacht charters of 286ft (86m) in length and tailor-made vacations with a total value of USD 1 million per week. Prior to this, Alastair was the creative and marketing director of Sanlorenzo Yachts in the Americas, where he established the brand for the shipyard across the region.

Alastair is a member of IYBA and MYBA and graduated with a BA Honours First Class degree in Boat Design with Professional Enhancement from Coventry University (UK), while also working as a Designer at Princess Yachts International.

Though a music scholar in his early years, his true passion is sailing, after growing up just a stone’s throw away from a sailing club on the south coast of England. Following racing success on the water, he received the ‘Sir Peter Blake Award for Achievement in Sailing’ in 2003. In his spare time, Alastair loves the ‘Great Outdoors’ while travelling the World to learn about different cultures.
