Broker Spotlight – Luisa Alesso
Part of a series of conversations with the brokerage team, Luisa Alesso reflects on the evolution of Moravia Yachting and the charter market since joining the company in 2003.
Born in Turin and raised on the Italian Riviera, Luisa Alesso has lived in France since she was 18. Having studied International Administration at Commercial School, Luisa’s professional career began with working at several Monegasque companies. Being based in this superyacht hub, however, sparked a desire in Luisa to work in the yachting sector, and in 2003 she joined Moravia Yachting to focus on yacht charter and sales.
Having joined the company while it was still a small, family-run business with just six employees, Luisa has seen first-hand the company’s growth since then. “Hill Robinson’s acquisition of Moravia in 2017 has created an environment where we are always sharing information as colleagues and there is always something to learn,” Luisa explains.

During her time in the industry, Luisa has also adapted to the significant evolution of the charter market. Over the last ten years, she has seen a rise in charter enquiries for increasingly larger yachts, along with higher expectations from the clients.
As a charter broker, Luisa prides herself on her transparency and professionalism, as well as her enthusiasm for her work. “I am passionate about travel, and I’ve always been very service oriented, so I take a great deal of satisfaction from creating yachting experiences for clients around the world,” she says.

With a love for travel, Luisa is always keen to experience the destinations on her clients’ itineraries for herself. For her next adventure, she would like to visit the Greek Islands after recently organising two very successful charters there on board M/Y Kathleen Anne and M/Y Jaan.
