The standout yachts at MYS 2024

By Moravia Yachting

Our brokers reveal their favourite yachts from the recent launches and brokerage opportunities on display at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show

Every autumn, the finest yachts on the brokerage market congregate at Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) in the ultimate showcase of luxury, craftsmanship and innovation. With our CAs AMARYLLIS, BARTALI and BEYOND CAPRICORN presented for sale, our team had a busy show welcoming visitors on board as well as helping clients interested in buying and chartering navigate the yachts on display.

Having surveyed the yachts during the show, our brokers have shortlisted those with the most impressive features and outstanding design.

BEYOND CAPRICORN

Listed for sale with Moravia Yachting, the 23.95m BEYOND CAPRICORN received a lot of interest during the show. As Sales Broker Sam Tucker explains, “Being below the 24m mark, she has strong appeal for potential owner-drivers. She is also the largest ever yacht in terms of volume under 24m, so all her visitors were amazed at the space on board.” Following the show, BEYOND CAPRICORN has follow-up inspections scheduled in the coming weeks.

SERENISSIMA I

The 47m Mengi Yay SERENISSIMA I impressed Head of Sales Adam Papadakis with her striking Nuvolari Lenard design, and exceptional finish. “I loved her special features, such as the Riva tender aft, the walk-in wine cellar on the main deck, and many more. The quality throughout was great,” he explains. “SERENISSIMA I exemplifies how many Turkish yards have come along leaps and bounds in the last 10 years in terms of innovation and finish. They are producing award-winning boats and have proven themselves to be very competitive.”

ETERNAL SPARK

On the semi-custom side of the market, the 50m Bilgin ETERNAL SPARK particularly stood out for Sales and Charter Broker Rob Lander. “Compared to similar yachts in the circa 50m and sub-500gt size category, ETERNAL SPARK has an impressive degree of customisation and high-quality finish on board,” he says. “Hot Lab have done impressive work on the interior design, including a clear line of sight down through the ornate stairwell all the way from the sundeck pool to the lower deck.”

ALMAX

The 50m Sanlorenzo ALMAX made an impact at the show for her pioneering alternative fuel technology, with a fuel cell that can store and convert e-methanol to power the yacht’s hotel load. Adam was also impressed with the spectacular design on board. “Each deck from the lower deck to sundeck is split level, giving a unique, ‘floating villa’ feel the moment you step on board,” he adds.

VERTIGE

The 50m Tankoa VERTIGE was another favourite during the show. “A timeless design, intelligent allocation of spaces and optimised for both private and charter usage, she is one of the finest examples of what Italian yacht building is capable of doing,” Adam describes.

AKULA

Making her debut at MYS, the 52m Baglietto AKULA stood out for her expansive sundeck, featuring a Jacuzzi and a series of shaded lounge areas. “Baglietto continues to produce spectacular yachts,” Adam observes. “Her huge sundeck resembles one of a 60-metre yacht”.

PINK SHADOW

The 58m Damen SeaXplorer PINK SHADOW wowed at the show for her unusual interior. “The eclectic fusion of interior colour palettes, textures and materials all blend together to create a really beautifully crafted, fun and unique, go-anywhere explorer yacht,” describes Rob. This is best illustrated in PINK SHADOW’s beach club, or so-called ‘Tahiti Plage’, which features bamboo walls with naturally weathered, painted woods and bright pops of colour.

LEMON TREE

Bursting with features and amenities, the 62m Sanlorenzo LEMON TREE was another highlight for Rob. “LEMON TREE has an expansive beach club featuring a gym, hammam, steam shower and a huge owner’s suite incorporating an expensive private deck area with sunken pool and a beautifully clean and contemporary interior,” he adds. “She is a great 60m-plus platform with every convenience and feature you could dream of.”

AMARYLLIS

Listed for sale with Moravia Yachting, the 78.43m Abeking & Rasmussen AMARYLLIS first ever MYS presentation attracted over 400 visitors during the show, of which 65 per cent were sales and charter clients. “She was greatly received by clients and brokers alike,” reports Adam. Highlights include her comprehensive spa setup and private owner’s terrace.

HBC

Having just completed a successful charter season, the 85.656m Abeking & Rasmussen HBC was presented in immaculate condition during the show and showcased her charter-friendly features. “Located beneath the large glass-bottomed pool, HBC’s beach club is fantastic,” says Rob. “And with 11 suites to accommodate 12 guests, she has an ample cabin arrangement.”

KISMET

For Rob, the star of the show was the 122m Lürssen KISMET. “The level of quality and detail on board is outstanding,” he remarks. “KISMET is surely the greatest superyacht ever available for charter and perhaps one of the greatest superyachts ever built.” Highlights on board include a Balinese-inspired spa, an underwater lounge, and four internal marble bioethanol fireplaces.
