Cannes Yachting Festival

Taking place from 6 to 11 September 2022, Cannes Yachting Festival promises a show of debuts, with an eclectic mix of over 600 boats on display

Following a busy summer season, Cannes Yachting Festival marks the start the autumn boat show calendar and, as such, is always a much-anticipated event. And this year’s edition looks set to showcase several exciting world debuts from prominent shipyards.

To name a few, Benetti will be debuting the recently launched 37-metre Goga at the show – the first of eight models in its B.Yond ‘voyager’ series currently on order or under construction. The new series is characterised by its environmental credentials, hailing to be one of the greenest models built in its class. Sanlorenzo will also be displaying the eye-catching SP110 for the first time – the first unit in its SP or ‘Smart Performance’ series representing the shipyard’s entry into the sports yacht market.

The first Sunseeker 100 will also make its debut at the Yachting Festival, having been launched earlier this year. This new model signifies the start of a new era in flybridge design and functionality for the British yard, with new entertainment features and versatility at the fore. One of the latest sailing yacht launches – the YYachts 27.4-metre Y9 – will also be on display, recognisable for its futuristic design by Bill Tripp.

At the smaller end of the market, Vanquish Yachts will be showcasing some of the newest members of its fleet in Cannes. Fully customisable with impressive performance capabilities, Vanquish boats present a unique proposition for a high-end day or weekend boat.

“Thanks to the renewed confidence of our exhibitors, this 2022 edition is shaping up to be a very good one with projections for 550 exhibitors and 140 previews, in line with the previous year,” comments Sylvie Ernoult, Director of the Yachting Festival. “There are more boats [expected] and we hope that close to 640 units will be exhibited.”
