Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2022

By Moravia Yachting

Taking place from 26 to 30 October 2022, FLIBS promises an extensive fleet of yachts on display.

As the world’s largest in-water boat show, the 63rd edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) is set to showcase an expansive fleet of superyachts, sports fishing yachts, tenders, speed boats and submersibles.

The largest of the fleet will be located in the Superyacht Village at Pier 66, providing an exclusive area to view the superyachts on display. The 54.99m (180) Heesen LADY JJ will be one of the larger yachts in attendance, listed for sale and for charter. With a gross tonnage of 850, she has impressive interior space for a yacht of her size.

On display will also be the 42.29m (138 7) FABULOUS CHARACTER – a recent addition to the brokerage market, as well as being available for charter. One of just four motoryachts built by Dutch shipyard Holland Jachtbouw, FABULOUS CHARACTER was endowed with a World Superyacht Award following her delivery in 2010 and has since undergone a significant refit in 2018.

The 50.01m (164) Westport HOSPITALITY, available for sale and for charter, is also making an appearance. Her unique interior layout accommodates up to 16 guests in seven cabins and, in addition, the library can convert to a further double, as can the gymnasium.

Alastair Callender, Sales and Charter Broker at Moravia Yachting, was directly involved in the previous sale of both FABULOUS CHARACTER and HOSPITALITY.

The 34.14m (112) Sanlorenzo BELLE is another interesting yacht presented for sale at FLIBS this year. The Hill Robinson Group has worked closely with the Sanlorenzo shipyard on a number of projects and the Moravia brokerage team know the Sanlorenzo range extremely well.

Another highlight at the show will be the 47.8m (1568) GITANA from Feadship, who just emerged from a multi-million-euro refit project at her home shipyard. Highlights of the refit include a master cabin en suite with skylight and a striking mural.

Moravia brokers Adam Papadakis, Alastair Callender, Lea Tintaud and Marcella Tichelaar will be attending this year’s FLIBS and will be on hand to help clients navigate the fleet on display.
