About
Hailing from a design a build team associated with some of the world’s finest sailing superyachts, this ketch-rigged yacht is a craft of true pedigree.
Delivered in 1995, an extensive 2017 refit secured this yacht’s sailing prowess long into the future and a 2024 refit saw a rebuild of TAWERA’s main engines, installation of a new air conditioning system, and a new inverter.
TAWERA has accommodation for six guests in three cabins, with the arrangement comprising a full-beam owner’s suite and two en-suite twins. Further accommodation is provided for a crew of four.
The interior offers a two-metre headroom and is finished with teak detailing and cream leather upholstery. The split-level saloon provides both lounge space and a dining area, with larger groups easily accommodated.
Under her current ownership, TAWERA has cruised the Maldives, travelled to Djibouti in the Horn of Africa, through the Suez to Turkey and on to Greece, visiting Montenegro, Croatia, Venice, Italy, and Mallorca.
Testament to her ability and sailing performance are wins at the 2016, 2017, and 2019 NZ Millennium Cup regattas, the 2021 Mastercard Superyacht Regatta and the 2024 Cyclades Cup Regatta. Despite her ability on the racecourse, TAWERA is most at home operating as a family cruising yacht. Maintained to exceptional standards and in pristine condition, TAWERA reflects an attention to detail that will delight any discerning yachtsman.
